Michelliah

Michelliah McCraney is the Founder and Executive Director of Aspiring, Beautiful & Confident Girls, Inc., and President of Michelliah's Way, where she currently Train Youth and Coach Parents through her "I AM Curriculum."

Michelliah has worked in Florida’s public schools in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Alachua County, using her skills and Early Childhood Education to enhance the lives of children. Throughout her 28-year tenure, she’s held the following positions: Paraprofessional, Community Involvement Specialist, Community Liaison, Parent Educator, Behavior Resource Teacher (BRT), and Personalization for Academic and Social Emotional Learning (PASL) Mentor. 

She’s worked with Head Start, Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle Schoolers, including those with learning disabilities and attending Alternative Education Schools. As a Behavior Resource Teacher (BRT), she successfully transformed the behavior of many at-risk challenging students.

Advancing in her career, Michelliah administered the Parent Resource Center, arranged Career Day activities, implemented parent workshops, and created youth mentoring programs. 

In addition, she established partnerships with local businesses throughout Dade and Broward County, to increase parent-involvement, support incentive programs, create a safe space for students, and provide guidance to resources for needy families. 

Continuing her work with youth, she became a recreational Coordinator, for a Sports Complex, then a Youth Counselor for the YMCA after school program, where she later, promoted to a Site Supervisor. In these roles, she organized and conducted age-appropriate activities and field trips for youth and teens, supervised, and trained staff. 

Inspired by her passion for girls (youth), in 2007 she founded Aspiring Beautiful & Confident Girls, Inc., a 501c3 organization that mentors girls ages 8-15, planned and organized her first fundraising event, and successfully raised over $20k to fulfill her mission.

Paying it forward, she’s also volunteered as a mentor with “Take Stock in Children.” Served in several ministries in church including, a Board Member for the Women’s Ministry and as a Minister in Training. 

To date, Michelliah is a Certified Professional Speaker, Board-Certified Coach, and a four-time published author (2017-2020).
