Michelliah’s public speaking began at a very young age in church. From about the age of 10 she was preparing sermons to speak on youth Sunday. Her father would critique her sermons, and then she would practice speaking, using her family as her audience, and the center of her living room, as her stage. 

Sharpening her communication skills, in 2013, she earned a Certified Professional Speakers Certificate, and shortly after that, she produced her first spoken word CD, "Issues," a tribute to women.

Michelliah has been the keynote speaker for women and youth conferences, pastors' anniversaries, elementary graduations, youth, and community events throughout South Florida. Including, Miami Dade College and Job Corps (educating students about Domestic Violence). 

As a Spoken Word Artist 

Ms. Authentic is her stage name. Purposefully owned. For, her excerpts are authentically written, tailored, and spoken. 

Michelliah aka Ms. Authentic has performed at several open mic, MLK Day, Multicultural and Black History Month, church, and school events. However, there is no limit to her creativity. Her tailored work includes Mother’s Day, Women’s Month, birthdays, graduations, weddings, and Pastor’s Anniversaries.
